A highly accurate, easy to use, wide range specific gravity meter for marine aquarium use. Designed to eliminate inaccuracy issues common with competitive quick-dip hydrometers while helping you take a water sample from a greater depth that is free of the negative impact of surface influences.

Durable Construction For Extended Life

• "Dry Hands" design avoids contamination of aquarium or water
• Takes a more "true" water saple at a 6 inch depth, avoiding inaccurate surface sampling
• Accurate to ±0.001 specific gravity and salinity (PPT) measurements
• Auto temperature-correcting design to give a temperature-corrected reading in warm water aquariums - 68°F to 85°F (20°C to 30°C)
• Readings can be taken in or outside the aquarium
• Self-leveling, hanging device collects perfect samples
• Scientifically verified design offers the ultimate in accuracy

Note: Before using for the first time, to season the measurement needle, fill the hydrometer with saltwater from your aquarium and allow it to sit full of this water on a level surface for 24 hours. This rehydrates the calibration disc to its original specs and calibration standard and will provide the most accurate readings going forward.

1. Submerge hydrometer approximately 6 inches to water level line.
2. When water reaches the fill line level (top of dam) remove hydrometer and place on a level surface to take the most accurate reading.
3. Avoid air bubble adherence to the pointer as this will result in inaccurate, higher than normal readings. Should air bubbles collect on pointer, gently tap hydrometer to dislodge them before taking your reading.
4. Read specific gravity on inside scale and salinity in parts per thousand (PPT) on the outside scale. A recommended specific gravity of 1.020 to 1.023 is desirable for most marine aquariums.
5. Rinse with fresh water after each use to maintain optimum accuracy.

Salt deposits may accumulate on pointer and will result in inaccurate readings. If salt crystallizes inside your unit, soak it in lukewarm water or vinegar for 30 minutes, rinse with fresh water and allow to air dry. Rinse again with warm fresh water before next use.

Each AccuProbe^® Hydrometer is assigned an individual certified calibration number which is your assurance the unit was finely tuned prior to shipping from our production facility to provide the most accurate reading possible.

Meridian is an all natural oolitic (spherical or egg shaped) aragonite substrate for all reef and marine aquaria. Meridian is the premium aragonite substrate for the reef aquaria. It's grain size (a fairly uniform 0.25 - 0.50 mm) is ideally suited to reef inhabitants and it's chemical composition will assist in stabilizing calcium and alkalinity while preventing large pH declines. Unlike competing "wet" products marketed under the guise of being "live", Meridian is sold dry, thus you pay only for gravel and not for unneeded water. These products imply that they contain living, microscopic animals when in fact they only contain common bacteria. Dry or wet, there are bacteria on every substrate available.

• Natural oolitic aragonite for all types of marine, reef, and tropical aquaria
• Assists in stabilizing calcium and alkalinity
• Helps prevent large pH declines

Copper kits are usually of two types: compleximetric or titration based. Some kits measure only ionic copper and others measure both ionic and chelated copper. This kit uses a highly sensitive catalytic compleximetric based procedure to measure all types of copper to less than 0.01 mg/L in marine or freshwater. MultiTest™ Copper performs over 75 tests and contains a reference sample for validation.

• Measures all types of copper to less than 0.01 mg/L
• Multi-cavity plate for simultaneous testing of up to 6 tests at the same time
• Includes reference for test validation
• Marine or Freshwater

Natural seawater (NSW) concentration of iodide is 0.06 mg/L. Ideally, it is advisable to maintain iodide close to NSW concentration. Concentrations above NSW may not be harmful, and, within limits, may even be beneficial, but maintenance at elevated concentrations should be considered experimental.

The innovative MultiTest™ Iodine/Iodide kit offers a quantitative test for this important element of soft and hard coral growth. It measures iodine or iodide to less than 0.005 mg/L. The color scale peaks at 0.10 mg/L. It performs over 75 tests and contains a reference sample for validation.

• Catalysis based, sensitive to less than 0.0025 mg/L
• Multi-cavity plate for simultaneous testing of up to 6 tests at the same time
• Includes reference for test validation
• Marine or Freshwater

Marine pH should be 8.2—8.4. Tanks dosed with limewater may go as high as 8.6. Natural sea water has a total alkalinity of 2—3 meq/L, but aquarium water should have a total alkalinity of 4—6 meq/L.

This test kit features a unique dye that has a pronounced color change between 8.0 and 8.3, making it the easiest kit on the market to read in that critical range. It is suitable for marine or brackish water only. Alkalinity may be read from the same sample in 0.5 meq/L increments. MultiTest™ Marine pH & Alkalinity performs over 75 tests and contains a reference sample for validation.

This kit measures total alkalinity. Total alkalinity is a measure of the carbonate, bicarbonate, borate and hydroxide content of the water, expressed as the acid neutralizing capacity of the water in meq/L (milliequivalents/Liter). The expression of alkalinity as meq/L is chemically sound and the most useful way to express this property of the water to resist change in pH.

• Unique dye that has a pronounced color change between 8.0 and 8.3
• Multi-cavity plate for simultaneous testing of up to 6 tests at the same time
• Includes reference for test validation
• Marine or high pH Freshwater

Natural sea water contains about 10 mg/L as silicate. In reef or other marine aquaria, silicate should be 1 mg/L or less. Silicate is non-toxic to fish and invertebrates, but is ideally kept below 1 mg/L to minimize diatomaceous algae. In freshwater, silicate is not critical. Usually, freshwater silicate concentrations will range in the area of 4–20 mg/L.

MultiTest™ Silicate measures silicates to less than 0.5 mg/L in marine or freshwater. This kit measures soluble silicate and reports it as silicate concentration. To convert to silicon, multiply by 0.3. It performs over 75 tests and contains a reference sample for validation.

• Measures silicates to less than 0.5 mg/L
• Multi-cavity plate for simultaneous testing of up to 6 tests at the same time
• Includes reference for test validation
• Marine and freshwater
