How the Collar Works

Your cat's body heat activates the pheromones in the collar.
The collar continually releases calming notes as your cat wears it.
The cat pheromone collar has an easy-release feature for your cat's safety. The Breakaway^® collar will release if the cat becomes entangled in an object like a fence or tree.

Step-by-Step Guide for Use

Open the pouch only when you're ready to place it on your cat.
Put the one-size-fits-all collar around your cat's neck and snap it in place.
It should fit comfortably around the neck, ensuring the collar won't slip off.
Your cat should wear this collar 24/7, whether indoors or outdoors.
Replace the collar every 30 days.
Note: This product is not for use on kittens.

Ensure a Proper Fit

Place the collar around your cat's neck, adjust it to fit and buckle in place. A properly fitted collar is one that, when fastened, fits comfortably around the neck. You should be able to fit one or two fingers between the neck and the collar with the fingers flat against your cat's neck.

How to Help a Stressed Cat

Stressed cats are more prone to act out. Use the Comfort Zone^® Calming Pheromone Collar for Cats as a key part of your home's overall stress-reduction strategy for your cat. You can also build your cat's confidence with lots of playtime, tall cat trees to climb and plenty of cat scratchers.

Be on the lookout for stress triggers, such as not having enough litter boxes, competition for food or water or even a feral cat wandering outside. Each cat is unique, and yours will use his unique behaviors to help show you just what he needs.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

To reduce urine marking and limit destructive scratching on objects:
Before broadly applying the spray, always test a small inconspicuous area and let it sit for 24hrs. See our FAQ for more details.
Hold the bottle approximately four inches away from the prominent object(s) that is attractive to your cat.
Depress the spray nozzle five times onto the object(s).
Be sure to apply the product where your cat urine marks or on areas of scratching. DO NOT SPRAY DIRECTLY ON YOUR CAT.
Repeat this once per day at a minimum. If there are no fresh urine marks for any given day, then skip this step.

Tips for Use

Our calming spray can be used on the go or in the home.

Spray inside your cat's carrier about 15 minutes before leaving.
Use 1 to 2 spritzes in all four corners of the carrier, floor and ceiling.
Reapply 15 minutes before every trip.

At Home

Once a day, spray the areas where your cat scratches or marks with urine, like the side of your couch, a spot on your carpet, the corner of your bedroom or any area you've seen your cat target.
Spray the entire area your cat scratches multiple times to cover the target.
When introducing new furniture into your home, spray on the new object to help reduce urine marking and limit destructive scratching.

You may see changes in your cat's behavior in as little as two weeks, but it can take up to four weeks before you notice significant changes. For best results, use in combination with the Comfort Zone^® Cat Calming Diffuser with Opticalm™ Diffuser or the Comfort Zone^® Multi-Cat Diffuser with Opticalm™ Diffuser.

Did you know?

Cats communicate through natural messages released in the air, called pheromones. Using feline natural reassuring messages, FELIWAY helps your cat happily adjust to the pace of modern life, ensures full happiness and avoids signs like urine spraying, scratching, fighting or hiding.

There are 3 main types of feline messages

“Happy Messages” When comfortable and happy, cats mark their territory as familiar by rubbing their face against corners, furniture, people, or other cats at home. By doing that, they release a “happy message”. When present in the environment, these “happy messages” provide reassurance to the cats.
"Harmony Messages" After the mother gives birth, she sends “harmony messages” to her kittens. These messages, released in the mammary zone, are naturally appeasing and and ensure harmony between the kittens.
"Territory Messages" Cats are territorial by nature. They like to feel in control of their territory. They have their own way of telling other cats “this is mine”! They scratch in visible places and leave marks and “territory messages”, coming from their paws.

FELIWAY CLASSIC Refills, for use with FELIWAY CLASSIC Diffusers (sold separately), are a clinically proven pheromone solution to help comfort and reassure your cat at home. The diffuser and refill works continuously to help cats and kittens adjust to changes in their environment, feel comfortable in a new home and avoid unwanted behaviours like urine spraying, scratching and hiding. Trusted by veterinarians and pet owners worldwide for over 20 years, more than 14 million cats have benefitted from FELIWAY cat pheromone products.
