Zodiac Double Action Shampoo is an innovative concentrated insecticidal shampoo enriched with oatmeal, coconut extract, lanolin and aloe. It leaves your pet's coat soft, shining and manageable. This shampoo contains the Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) Precor which effectively breaks the flea life cycle and prevents the growth of the preadult stages of life. One treatment kills adult fleas and ticks and keeps flea eggs from hatching for 4-weeks.

  • Enriched with oatmeal, coconut oil, lanolin and aloe to condition and soothe sensitive skin

  • Given the residual control, application once a month should be adequate (for severe flea problems, treatments can be performed weekly)

Directions For Use:

Do NOT administer by mouth. SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING. Zodiac Double Action Flea & Tick Shampoo should be used at full strength. Use approximately 8 mL of Zodiac Double Action Flea & Tick Shampoo per kilogram body weight. Thoroughly wet animal with warm water.  Apply shampoo and rub shampoo into coat beginning at the back of the head and ears and working backward until entire body is covered. Pay special attention to neck, hindquarters, and areas under legs, around the tail and between toes. Do NOT treat eyes, as irritation may result. Do NOT treat mouth, face or genitals of the pet. Allow the lather to remain for 3-5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly to remove traces of shampoo on the pet's coat. Dry the animal. Do NOT use on nursing animals or dogs or cats under 12 weeks of age. Consult a veterinarian before using on sick, aged, or pregnant animals or animals receiving drug or other pesticide treatment. Given the residual control afforded by Zodiac Double Action Flea and Tick Shampoo, the application of this product once a month should be adequate. In exceptional circumstances, where there is a heavy external source of adult fleas reinfesting the animal, re-treatment may be increased to once per week. Do NOT use this shampoo more often than once every week. Do NOT use solely as a shampoo when there is no pest problem. Treatment must be repeated only if the pest problem reoccurs. For effective flea and tick control, treatment of the pet should be combined with sanitation of any area used by the pet. Vacuum floors, carpets and furniture (discard vacuum bag after use) and wash the pet's bedding, living quarters and surrounding areas. If pest problems persist, an insecticidal treatment of the premises may be required (Zodiac Premise Plus, Zodiac Premise 1000/2000). A veterinarian should be consulted when pest infestation continues to be a problem on the pet.

Precautions:

Humans: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Harmful if swallowed. Causes moderate eye and skin irritation. Avoid contact with mouth, eyes, skin and clothing. After handling or applying, wash hands (or any other skin that came into contact with the product) with soap and water. Avoid contact with pet until dry. Avoid product contact with food, food utensils or places where food is prepared or stored.

PETS: Harmful if swallowed. Avoid treating pet's mouth, face, eyes and genitals. Do NOT allow pet to lick the suds from the coat or ingest any of the shampoo.

Shipping

Canada Post has begun the process of safely ramping up and stabilizing operations across the country. With a large, integrated network of processing plants, depots and post offices, stabilizing operations will take time and the company asks Canadians for their patience.

  • Canadians should expect delivery delays through the remainder of 2024 and into January 2025.

Canpar has issued a delay in service notification due to increased shipment volumes and inclement weather in some areas.

Petland ships orders Monday through Friday (excluding statutory holidays).  We use Canada Post, Purolator & Canpar for delivery.  "Free Shipping" will usually be sent through Canpar Ground service.  Canpar Ground & Purolator Ground services do not have guaranteed delivery times and the shipping times will only be estimates.  

Orders made online after at 11 AM CST on Fridays will ship the following business week.  When considering delivery times after an order is placed, please allow 1-3 business days to process your order. Courier delivery times do not include the day the order has been picked up from our warehouse. 

Orders that include "special order" items will not be shipped until the "special order" item arrives in our warehouse.

Please provide a street address if you choose "Free Shipping", Canpar or Purolator as your shipping method. 

  • If you have a PO Box, Rural Range Road, Township Road or Site land location address, you must choose Canada Post as your shipping method.
  • If your address is an apartment or condo, please include the buzzer number.

Both Canpar and Purolator shipments will require a signature upon delivery unless you have requested the shipment to be left at your front door with "no signature required". **  If you do not make this request and are not home to receive your order, an attempted delivery notice will be left at your front door.  The notice will indicate the depot where you can pick up your shipment.

**Please note that neither Petland nor the delivery service is liable for any lost or stolen packages if you have requested the shipment to be left at your front door.

Undeliverable packages:

Occasionally, we will have a package returned to us because it was undeliverable. When this occurs, we will issue a full refund for the price of the product plus taxes. Shipping charges are non-refundable.  If your order had "Free Shipping" the shipping charges incurred by Petland for your order will be deducted from the total product refund amount.

We can receive packages as undeliverable for the following reasons:

  • Missing house number, unit number or buzzer number
  • Missing street name, City, or province
  • Incorrect Postal Code
  • Failed delivery attempts or the item was not picked up from the local depot within 5-10 business days.
  • Refused by the recipient.
