Shipping

Canada Post has begun the process of safely ramping up and stabilizing operations across the country. With a large, integrated network of processing plants, depots and post offices, stabilizing operations will take time and the company asks Canadians for their patience.

Canadians should expect delivery delays through the remainder of 2024 and into January 2025.

Canpar has issued a delay in service notification due to increased shipment volumes and inclement weather in some areas.

Petland ships orders Monday through Friday (excluding statutory holidays). We use Canada Post, Purolator & Canpar for delivery. "Free Shipping" will usually be sent through Canpar Ground service. Canpar Ground & Purolator Ground services do not have guaranteed delivery times and the shipping times will only be estimates.

Orders made online after at 11 AM CST on Fridays will ship the following business week. When considering delivery times after an order is placed, please allow 1-3 business days to process your order. Courier delivery times do not include the day the order has been picked up from our warehouse.

Orders that include "special order" items will not be shipped until the "special order" item arrives in our warehouse.

Please provide a street address if you choose "Free Shipping", Canpar or Purolator as your shipping method.

If you have a PO Box, Rural Range Road, Township Road or Site land location address, you must choose Canada Post as your shipping method.
If your address is an apartment or condo, please include the buzzer number.

Both Canpar and Purolator shipments will require a signature upon delivery unless you have requested the shipment to be left at your front door with "no signature required". ** If you do not make this request and are not home to receive your order, an attempted delivery notice will be left at your front door. The notice will indicate the depot where you can pick up your shipment.

**Please note that neither Petland nor the delivery service is liable for any lost or stolen packages if you have requested the shipment to be left at your front door.

Undeliverable packages:

Occasionally, we will have a package returned to us because it was undeliverable. When this occurs, we will issue a full refund for the price of the product plus taxes. Shipping charges are non-refundable. If your order had "Free Shipping" the shipping charges incurred by Petland for your order will be deducted from the total product refund amount.

We can receive packages as undeliverable for the following reasons:

Missing house number, unit number or buzzer number
Missing street name, City, or province
Incorrect Postal Code
Failed delivery attempts or the item was not picked up from the local depot within 5-10 business days.
Refused by the recipient.

GOOD GRUB

First of all, I want you to know that I ordered this dog food 17kg bag on Monday, and it was here in two days. totally impressed with that. I work for Canada Post, and the delivery can through Canada Post, so I was very very please with the delivery time, and the Zero Cost for the delivery as well, because I know just how costly a 17kg bag of dry dog food cost to ship. Both my dogs were on the brand of dog food called orijen. Don't get me wrong, is a wonderful dog food, and for the first one year of our puppy Rottweiler's life we fed him the orijen large breed puppy food. did lots of research on the best Canadian made dry dog foods and that's what kept showing itself. Now I know that the Acana food is totally made by the same company and in the same ways, its just that there is less % were you read the fresh free range meat is and more of the veg %. everything else about the Acana compare to the Orijen are so much the very same. one thing Orijen didn't have was a separate Adult for large breeds label, thus I decided to go with the Acana, who does have the Large Breed Adult food, and it comes in 17kg. what I found out too, because with the Orijen dog food, I was feeding the dogs about 1 cup a day each of fresh cooked moist meats that I add to the food instead of moist caned dog food (never know whats in that stuff). In the End because I do add Cooked Moist meat about (1 Cup) its making up for the difference with the Acana having less of what the Orijen had.working #1 so far

We have 2 large dogs ,black lab and Great Pyrenees. While our lab has weight issues and eats everything in sight she quickly became overweight with other foods . We put her on Acana and she dropped the weight , her coat became shiny again and she has the energy back . The Pyrenees was a rescue and he looked mal nourished ,his coat dull and course to touch ,two months later and he looks great . We will keep both dogs on what I consider the best dog food.
